DEEDS has been designed to support the learning, teaching and operational needs of Camberwell Grammar School (“School”) and for communication between members of the School community.
By using DEEDS, you accept, that in addition to this Policy, you also comply with School Policies located on the School’s website.

This Policy details how the School protects your privacy in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988, including the Australian Privacy Principles.

User information collected from the website is shared with third parties to perform ad measurement services on your behalf.
Collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information
When using DEEDS, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information in accordance with the School’s Privacy Policy.
The School will collect Personal Information directly from you where it is reasonable and practicable to do so. The School may also collect Personal Information from other people (e.g. parents, staff) where is it not reasonable and practical to collect Personal Information directly from you.
The School only collects sensitive information reasonably necessary if the School has the consent of the individuals to whom the sensitive information relates, or if the collection is necessary to lessen or prevent a serious threat to life, health or safety of an individual or another permitted health situation exists.
If you provide Personal Information relating to another person, you warrant that you have authority to do so by being a current staff member of the School, parent on the School’s enrolment form for a current student, or work under a current contract with the School.
Personal Information will only be used for the primary purpose for which it was collected or for a related secondary purpose that would be reasonably expected by you.

Storage and Security of Personal Information
The School takes all reasonable steps to protect your Personal Information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure by:
- Issuing all users with unique account credentials for DEEDS. These are used to determine different levels of security and which information is accessible to you.
- Implementing ICT security systems, policies and procedures designed to protect Personal Information storage on the School’s networks.
- Implementing policies and procedures to ensure staff follow correct protocols when handling Personal Information.
- Undertaking due diligence with third-party service providers who may have access to Personal Information, including cloud service providers, with relation to their compliance with the Australian Privacy legislation or parallel privacy legislation.
Any information that you contribute to DEEDS is identifiable to you and may be widely available to other DEEDS users unless you take steps to deliberately restrict access. For this reason, it is best to assume that information you upload is visible to all DEEDS users.
Confidentiality
User account details must not be disclosed to anyone. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the login name and password you use to access DEEDS and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your login details whether conducted by you or someone else. You must notify the School via email (email address) or phone (phone number) immediately if your login name and password are misused or become disclosed so that the School can provide you with different login details.
Copyright and Intellectual Property
The information on DEEDS is protected under Australian and International copyright and other laws governing protection of intellectual property rights. You may only copy (either electronically or in hard copy) information on DEEDS for personal, non-commercial use in conjunction with your use of DEEDS. Copyright belongs wholly to the original author or publisher of the resource.
No information, including Personal Information, contained on DEEDS is to be shared with any other person or be posted on any external social media platform (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, twitter, etc.).
You may request access to the Personal Information the School holds about you by contacting the School in writing.
Content Responsibility
Regardless of your relationship with the School, DEEDS must only be used to support the learning, teaching and operational activities of the School. It is your responsibility to take care of the information you upload to DEEDS. Information must not be offensive, threatening, defamatory, racist, discriminatory or illegal. Inappropriate use of DEEDS may result in the loss of access to DEEDS for the person or people responsible.

DEEDS may contain links to other websites. Please review the privacy policies of these websites as the School is not responsible for the management and compliance of their privacy.
Monitoring
The School continuously monitors the use of DEEDS to ensure that use complies with this Privacy Policy. Any information that you contribute to DEEDS is identifiable to you along with the date and time of the contribution. Individual DEEDS pages may be inspected for compliance with the Privacy Policy and other related School policies at any time.
